Building the LifestyleGarden® brand at Solex

ScanCom UK is excited to announce that the new and dynamic LifestyleGarden® 2018 collection will be showcased at this years SOLEX trade fair, which takes place from 11th to 13th July at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, England. The annual SOLEX (Summer & Outdoor Living Exhibition) trade fair is organised by LOFA (Leisure & Outdoor Furniture Association) for it’s members and has grown to become the UK’s major trade fair for the industry, with almost all major retailers, garden centres and department stores in attendance.

This year SOLEX will be celebrating its tenth anniversary with the biggest and best exhibition yet, building on the huge success of last year which saw 70 exhibitors and record numbers of visitors to the fair. At SOLEX 2016 the LifestyleGarden® stand saw an increase of around 20% more visitors to the stand compared to the previous year, and we are confident of continuing that trend. We know that visitors who come and see our new collection will go away with a firm grasp of the design, durability and peerless value offered by every LifestyleGarden® product.

Sales Director of ScanCom UK Paul Cohen explains the benefits of SOLEX: “Recently we’ve seen the brand grow, and the success of the last couple of seasons has really helped to raise the profile and image of LifestyleGarden® both here in the UK and overseas. SOLEX has certainly played a part in that development - 76% of visitors to the stand last year were potential new accounts - and we are anticipating another positive exhibition this year.

“As one of the few manufacturers at the show, with the additional, unique ability to combine products from all ranges into mixed containers, we are able to offer a service that no other companies are able to and this has resulted in strong sales to independent retailers and garden centres in the UK market. Planning and preparation with existing customers in advance of SOLEX means that we have more time to dedicate to new customers at the exhibition and that has been vital in establishing new accounts.

“Also, the fact that LifestyleGarden® now has a dedicated new showroom space in the UK means that leads and potential accounts can be followed up in a short amount of time with convenience for both parties. One of the advantages to retailers that we offer is the mixed container, which can go directly to them from the factories. However, we also distribute what we call “must stock” items and lines from our distribution centre in Essex, which means greater flexibility and is ideal for the smaller scale retailer. After making initial contact at SOLEX, customers can visit us quickly and easily to gain a fuller understanding of LifestyleGarden® as a brand and ScanCom as a manufacturer. We’ve had over 20 meetings in the last month alone and we’re anticipating that will remain consistent over the next few months. When they visit our showroom and get a chance to meet the team and discuss their particular requirements and gain an insight into the quality, style and value of LifestyleGarden® by ScanCom, we’re confident they’ll want to stock our lines.”
