In focus: Portals ranges

They say that ‘style may be changeable, but class endures’ and in the case of the new Portals collection this couldn’t be truer! This sleek collection – available in ‘dark’ and ‘light’ colourways offers refined comfort with a robust structure. The aluminium frames are complemented with lavish cushions and a soothing teak FSC finish. Advanced die-casting technology adds an additional design element to the Portals range, providing smooth contours and additional configurations for ultimate adaptability. Whether you have an urban balcony or a sprawling country garden, the Portals have everything you need.

If you want something really sleek and sexy then Portals Dark is the perfect choice, whilst Portal Light offers a more relaxed, carefree style of living. With 18 items in each Portals collection, these mix and match range provides endless opportunities.

Special additions to Portals Dark include the popular ‘tree’ chair in both ‘dining’ and ‘bar’ heights, as well as a black Nassau bucket chair for relaxed dining indoors and outdoors. Portals Light also features a white Nassau chair, as well as white slatted aluminium dining and bar chairs with ‘wood’ accents and cushion bases, providing understated elegance in any garden setting.

Both ranges feature tables including dining, coffee and picnic styles, as well as four, six and eight-seater dining sets. Modular sofas provide complete flexibility and ultimate comfort for even the smallest garden spaces and - when space is at a real premium - the built-in ‘end table’ within each modular sofa truly comes into its own, perfect for resting glasses, plates and garden décor on if a table is not available. Each sofa can be purchased separately or as a sofa set.

The most exciting part of the Portals collection is the extra details that give this range real standout. A C-shape side table offers unique versatility and is compatible with sofas and sun loungers, whilst the Tea Trolley will take your al fresco drinks with friends to a whole new level.

PORTALS MATERIAL INNOVATION

Aluminium technology & Duracoat®

The Portals collection is made using cast aluminium die-casting technology. This technique, entirely unique to LifestyleGarden®, allows for absolute accuracy and details to be accentuated, whilst the addition of the high-quality, multi-layer Duracoat® finish gives a sleek, smooth appearance that also provides unparalleled protection from the elements and everyday wear and tear. In addition to the great looks, the cast aluminium frames are lightweight and easy to move yet also extremely robust and reliable offering convenience and peace of mind.

FSC™ Teak

Tabletops are made from FSC™ certified teak, meaning the timber used is grown in responsibly managed plantations or has been sourced and recycled from components and structures on the island of Java.

Teak ages beautifully with the original golden-brown colour gradually becoming replaced by a silver-grey patina if left untreated, which gives a classic, rustic appearance. This generally begins to happen after four to five months without treatment. If left untreated for upwards of two years, the silver-grey patina will change to a dark grey or green colour.

Olefin

LifestyleGarden® only uses fabrics with excellent weather-resistant properties for extreme durability in all climates, which is why Olefin remains its go-to fabric. Olefin offers supreme durability due to its fibres containing less moisture which allows it to dry more quickly than other textiles. Furthermore, Olefin is resistant to abrasions, stains, sunlight, fire and chemicals.
