Under the partnership, which saw LifestyleGarden® selected as Eden’s exclusive outdoor furniture partner, its new season furniture ranges will carry Eden Project branding, a move that is providing retailers with a unique point of difference and is underpinning consumer confidence at a time when environmental responsibility is at the top of shoppers’ agendas. At the heart of the new relationship is DuraOcean®, the ground-breaking, award-winning chair made from nets, ropes and plastic waste salvaged from the world’s seas, with each chair crafted from 3.5kg of recovered ocean plastic. An exhibit of DuraOcean® on a replica beach in Eden’s Mediterranean biome has ignited interest in DuraOcean® at a time when concern over ocean plastic waste is at an all-time high.

DuraOcean®, which was crowned best new product at SOLEX in July, is being hailed as a prime example of closed-loop thinking – a product made from recycled marine waste that can also be fully recycled at the end of its life. With around 300 million tonnes of plastic waste created globally every year, and pollution killing more than 100,000 marine creatures, the DuraOcean® Exhibit at Eden has thrown the spotlight on how waste can be salvaged from the world’s seas and recycled into the ultimate must-have outdoor living product. The eco-friendly range has launched with a DuraOcean® bistro set, which features the Nassau FSC Eucalyptus table.
LifestyleGarden®’s exclusive new ranges are also taking pride of place in the Eden Kitchen, known to visitors as the main dining area that sits between Eden’s two famous biomes. As part of a refit of the landmark Cornish attraction’s catering facilities, LifestyleGarden®’s limited edition Banyan Tree Cast Aluminum Chairs, inspired by the Banyan Tree in Eden’s Rainforest Biome, have been installed and paired with the company’s automatically self-levelling and folding Gyro Bistro Tables – showcasing the latest innovative sustainable furniture at Eden’s heart.
